As he took in the view from the twentieth floor, the lights went out all over the city. Just as he was about to jump…
Was he controlling the city with how he was feeling?
He was in his dark days. But the view, the view was magnificent. It took his breath away. The way the lights in all the buildings shone bright, lighting up the whole world. Each and every building was different.
It was like the universe telling him that it would be nothing but darkness if he jumped. It was a sign. He couldn’t do it. He took a step back and sat on the edge with his feet hanging over the edge- it was like he was suspended in the air. The universe saved him yet again.
The city reminded him of the good. The way each brick was a slightly different shade. It made him think of how each person is different. That we are like buildings. We build our life with building blocks, and sometimes we fall and get knocked over. But we build ourselves back up stronger.
He laid back looking up at the night sky, seeing the stars twinkle and glow brought light to him at that moment. It gave him a warm fuzzy feeling. The moon spoke to him and said that he needed to follow his dreams. Only then would he truly be free.
